Reports from Lofa County say citizens and residents are living in fears due to the outbreak of an unknown disease that has killed more than 800 cattle so far.
According to the reports, the cattle, including goats and sheep are said to have died in seven towns and villages in Quadu-Gboni and Voinjama Districts.
Some of the affected town and villages so far include: Barkedu, Marvie Konnedu, Betijema and Sarkonnedu.
The citizens are alarming that the unknown disease could also affect human beings and spread to other parts of the county as well as Liberia if nothing is done urgently to fight it.
Meanwhile, the Public Health Supervisor for Lofa County Health Team, William Sherman, has warned citizens of the county and Liberia as a whole against buying meat from goats, sheep and other domestic animals since the cause of the cattle's death is still unknown.
